How it works
Three straightforward steps
01
Choose your document
Select a PDF from your device. Review its page count before deciding which pages should carry the watermark.
02
Set the watermark
Enter your text, choose its position and font size, and adjust the opacity. Use all pages or enter specific page ranges.
03
Save the marked copy
Apply the watermark and download a new PDF. Open the result to check that the label remains readable without obscuring important content.

FAQ
Common questions
Can I watermark only part of a PDF?
Yes. Choose selected pages and enter page numbers or ranges such as 1-3, 5. Pages outside your selection retain their original content. This is useful when a cover page needs to stay clean or only an appendix needs a label.
Does a watermark prevent copying or editing?
A visible watermark communicates a label or ownership claim. It does not encrypt the document or stop a PDF editor from changing it. If the document needs an opening password, use Protect PDF after adding the watermark. Share that password through a separate channel.
How should I choose the size and opacity?
Use a smaller label near an edge for unobtrusive attribution, or a larger central label for a draft. Lower opacity makes underlying text easier to read. Check the downloaded copy, especially if pages have different sizes or orientations, before distributing it.
Can I remove the watermark later?
Keep the original document if you may need an unmarked version. This tool writes the text into a new PDF and does not provide a removal command. The source file on your device is not overwritten.
Are my document and watermark text uploaded?
No. The document and the text you enter are processed in browser memory. Neither is included in analytics. Closing the workspace releases its temporary references; the downloaded copy remains wherever you save it.
